Choral Society Spring

Concert Going To Broadway

Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, will present “Broadway Tonight” as its spring concert. The performance will be Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at the flagpole).

The music of Kurt Weill, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim will be featured.  Included will be excerpts from Weill’s Three Penny Opera, Bernstein’s Candide and Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, Follies, Company, Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods, among others. The choir is accompanied by Phil Crevier.

Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors and those under 12. They will be available at the door.  Call 426-3769 for more information.
