Ahmad Fotovat Ahmadi

Devoted Husband, Father And Grandfather

Ahmad Fotovat Ahmadi, 85, of Shelton, died at Griffin Hospital, April 24, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tehran, Iran, March 25, 1927, he was the son of Robabeh Ettefagh Abdoulali and Fotovat Ahmadi. He was the beloved husband of Effat Barghi.

In addition to his wife, Effat, eight children, including Maryam Fotovat Ahmadi and her husband Mosen Ahmaripour of Newtown; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Tabib, Kashi, and Parvizian families survive Mr Ahmadi. Six siblings predeceased him.

He was the owner of Fovama Oriental Rug of Westport and Scarsdale, N.Y., for 20 years before his retirement in 1999. Prior to that he was a merchant in Iran.

His greatest love was his family and he also found great enjoyment walking, hiking, and working.

Burial took place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, April 30.
