Americaâs Response To The Gathering Storm Of WWII
BROOKFIELD CENTER â On Monday, May 7, at 7:30 pm, the Brookfield Museum and Historical Society will sponsor a multimedia presentation titled âTill Boots Hit the Groundâ at The Brookfield Museum
The program will be presented by Peter Cronin, who will provide an overview of the world in 1939, two years prior to Americaâs entry into the Second World War. Major focus will be on the arduous path that led the United States from its isolationist thinking to eventually becoming a belligerent. It will climax on the shores of Guadalcanal and North Africa.
Mr Cronin, a Brookfield resident, is a longtime student of American military history and has often lectured on the War Between the States as well as other historical subject matter arising from Americaâs military conflicts. He is also a former member of the historical societyâs board of directors.
Complimentary refreshments will be served. Admission to the program is free.
