‘Artist Community: Rhode Island’ Is On View At BigTown Gallery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — BigTown Gallery is presenting an exhibition titled “Artist Community: Rhode Island.” The opening reception will be conducted Saturday, May 5, 5 to 7 pm. The exhibition will be on view through June 10.

“Artist Community: Rhode Island” presents the first in a series of mixed media group exhibitions, examining through the work of selected gallery artists, the extended network of relationships that define their creative communities. The associations and collaborations of the Providence artistic community have been particularly noteworthy, producing some of America’s most influential artists.

The exhibit features works by Richard Fleischner, Harry Callahan, Stephan Brigidi, David Macaulay, Dale Chihuly, Ruth Dealy, Malcolm Grear, Bunny Harvey, Dieter Roth, Aaron Siskind, Hugh Townley and John Udvardy.
