Macaroni Kids Planning Woman’s Night Out

BETHEL — Macaroni Kid Newtown/Monroe/Trumbull/Shelton, along with three other Macaroni Kid editions, will host a fun, special evening of Womanologie, The Art and Style of Being a Woman, on Friday, June 8, in the newly renovated Garden Room at Capellaro’s Grove. The evening is all about having fun with friends and celebrating being a woman.

Proceeds will benefit everwonder Children’s Museum, a museum for children to be located in Newtown.

Guest speakers will include keynote presenter Patty Lennon, CEO and founder of Mom Gets a Life. Ms Lennon is a mom, advocate, coach, writer and speaker who believes in the power of intuition, taking action and a world where woman can be successful mothers and successful individuals at the same time.

Personal stylist Allison McConnell, of the fashion blog Analogue Chic, will also be a guest speaker. Ms McConnell is a Connecticut native with a cosmopolitan streak. She loves travel, the arts, and irreverent fun. Blessed with a mom and grandma who are die-hard needlecrafters, she has been stitching and playing with fabric since grade school.

Laurie Bellesheim, the author of Surviving Emily, will be at Womanologies, meeting attendees and signing copies of her book.

The evening will also consist of raffle items and a silent auction to include an African Photo Safari, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

“Learn about valuing yourself even when you are a mom. Figure out how to fall in love with fashion, and your wardrobe, all over again,” says Lisa Agresta, one of the event’s coordinators.

A vendor showcase will also be part of the evening, with the following already committed to Womanologie: representatives from Tastefully Simple, PartyLite, Arbonne and Juice Plus, along with Soap By Judy, Mimi’s Creations, CT Kids Closet, Ridgefield Tennis Club, Celadon Road, Velata Fondue, Scentsy, Thirty One Gifts, Park Lane Jewelry, and Stella and Dot.

Many of the vendors will have special treats for guests.

Admission is just $15 when purchased in advance, with discounts starting even for two tickets when purchased in advance (two tickets for $27, four for $50, and ten for $100).

Vendor Openings              Still Available

Those who are interested in showcasing their business are invited to visit www.womanologie.com and click on Vendors to download information.

Vendor fees are discounted if received by May 4.
