Barillari Fahey

Active In Trumbull Community

Marianna Barillari Fahey, 89, of Trumbull, widow of Edward Fahey, died April 27, at home, with her loving daughter and family at her side. She had a long battle of pancreatic cancer. She was born in Italy and was the daughter of Elizabeth and Biago Barillari.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Gloria Bender of Trumbull, brother Dominick Barillari of Sandy Hook, one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A brother, sister-in-law, and nephew predeceased Mrs Fahey.

She worked at Columbia Records, retired from there, worked at Jenkins Valves, Dunkin’ Donuts, Monroe, and for the Trumbull School (Daniel Farms) as a kitchen aide.

Mrs Fahey was very active in the parish of St Catherine of Siena, Trumbull. She was a Eucharist Minister, she also visited the sick at St Vincent’s and Bridgeport Hospitals. She belonged to the Ladies Guild, Friendship Club, Rosary Makers, crochet and knitting groups, and worked at the polls. She was noted for her homemade cookies.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place April 30. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

Memorial donations may be made to St Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull CT 06611, for the rose garden.
