Resident Inducted Into Professional Honor Society

 Mark DeWolfe was one of 82 state residents inducted into Epsilon Pi Tau, the international honor society for professions in technology, during a ceremony on April 15 at Manchester Community College.

University of Connecticut Professor Eric Flynn had recommended Mr DeWolfe for the appointment. The induction ceremony included engineering students from across the state.

Technology students are nominated for membership in Epsilon Pi Tau after they have completed 30 semester hours in prescribed courses and maintained a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. As an academic and professional honor society, Epsilon Pi Tau encourages academic excellence of technology students, faculty, and administrative leaders in higher education, and promotes the values and contributions of professionals in technology.

Mr DeWolfe was also one of 12 scholarship recipients to receive honors from the Connecticut Space Grant Consortium. The scholarship is given to technology students who have demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to pursing a technology career

The NASA merit scholarship will allow Mr DeWolfe to continue his education in electrical engineering.

He was selected for both honors in recognition for his work in solar power management.

Mr DeWolfe lives in Sandy Hook with his wife Judi and their daughter and son, Ali and Andy.
