Night Of Jazz Night Moved To NHS

The location for the Newtown Middle School’s Night of Jazz, scheduled for May 12, has been changed. It will now be held at Newtown High School to accommodate the Whistlin’ Dixie Jazz Band of the Connecticut National Guard, which will be joining the students for the program. Doors will open at 6:30 pm; the concert will begin at 7.

Newtown Director of Music Michelle Hiscavich said the district is excited to host the special guests and develop part of the music department’s mission statement, “creating a lifelong involvement in the arts.”
