Politicians today are not what they once were. Many will say anything to win votes, even when they know they are being disingenuous. Some outright lie to convince voters of positions they may not truly believe in.

Not Brandon Moore.

After spending time speaking with him, I found Brandon to be honest, direct, and genuine. He speaks his mind without exaggeration or falsehoods. He is a man of integrity who truly enjoys hearing from fellow Newtown residents. I have seen this firsthand.

At a recent No Kings rally in Newtown, Brandon did far more than simply attend. He inspired the crowd and emerged as a natural leader among people sharing heartbreak and deep concern over the state of our community and our country. He humbly spoke with attendees, listened to their concerns, and connected with people on a personal level. He carried a sign reading, “This Vet Says No to More War,” making clear where he stands on Trump’s illegal war.

Closer to home, I’ve learned he cares deeply about issues that affect everyday people, including reproductive rights, healthcare costs, and the rising cost of living. When people talk with Brandon, they know exactly where he stands. He makes it clear that Mitch Bolinsky should not retain his seat in Hartford, not through personal attacks, but by holding him accountable for his record. That is what sets Brandon apart. He is running because he has expertise on state policy and wants to fight for the good people of Newtown.

In this Newtown voter’s opinion, Brandon Moore is the real deal. He is honest, straightforward, and truly connects with people. He has my vote.
