Agnes M. Carp
Agnes (Marks) Carp, 60, of Dorman Road, Oxford, died on May 27 at her home after a long illness, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the beloved wife of 17 years to her late husband, Thomas Gene Carp, who died recently.
She was born in Bridgeport on April 8, 1941, the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary (Duncanson) Marks. She was a business analyst for Anthem Blue Cross of North Haven for 15 years. She moved to Oxford from Danbury in 1984. She was an avid homemaker and gardener and loved her family.
Her loving family includes her beloved sons, Robert Cicarelli and his wife, Rebecca, of Sandy Hook and Michael Cicarelli and his wife, Tanya, of Roxbury; beloved daughters Lucille Spoldi and her husband, Michael, of West Haven, Kathleen Wilson of North Branford, and Chrisann Cicarelli of Oxford; loving brothers, John Marks and his wife, Pat, of Union, Thomas Marks and his wife, Deborah, of Chester Springs, Penn., and William Marks of Fairfield; seven cherished grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on May 31 at 11 am in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 25 Great Hill Road, Oxford, with the Rev Richard Miesel, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67), Seymour, was in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
