Three Ladies in Distress

To the Editor:

I just had to write and tell you about my helpful knight. That is what I call him.

It was on Route 25 in Brookfield, with two of my lady friends on the way home, when my car died. I was able to pull over some off the two-lane road, but still in a bad place. There was a police car right in back of me, but he just went around me and did not stop.

That is when I saw this gentleman in his driveway. It was raining, and I asked if I could use his phone to call my car club and daughter.

As I was doing that, he went and pushed my car off the road into his driveway, so that the car and ladies in it would not be hit. And when the tow truck came, he directed cars around it.

He would not take anything for helping me, and I want people to know there are still some kind people out there.

I hope that the gentleman reads this and again, I want to say thank you for helping three ladies in distress.
