Hats Off To Botsford Fire

To the Editor:

On behalf of the 12-year-old Newtown Baseball travel teams, who hosted a tournament at Glander Field this Memorial Day weekend, I would like to thank the Botsford Fire Department for coming to the rescue and watering down the grounds.

We experienced a dry spell the days before, and the field was dry and not pleasant to play on. Botsford Fire Department helped transform the ground to make the weekend truly enjoyable.

Thank you again, Botsford Fire Department.
