Police report they arrested a Sandy Hook man on May 28 on a warrant, charging him with four offenses in connection with a January 26 incident.

Newtown police said they received a call from Milford police informing them that they had in custody Frank Edwards, 53, of 27 Yogananda Street, for whom Newtown police held an arrest warrant. Milford police had stopped Edwards there for an alleged motor vehicle violation.

Edwards was transported to the Newtown police station where Newtown police charged him with making a false statement, evading responsibility, failure to have automotive insurance, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Police allege that at about 9:36 pm on January 26, Edwards was riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) when he struck a ground-mounted electrical utilities box near 43 Bennetts Bridge Road. Warrant

Police report that they stopped motorist Leisa Vladimiroff, 50, of Brookfield at Budd Drive on May 28 to investigate and then learned that there was an outstanding warrant pending against her by the Brookfield Police Department,
