Weekly Breast Cancer Education Classes Launched

DANBURY — Weekly breast cancer education classes are now taking place at the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital on Wednesdays, from 4 to 5:30 pm.

Classes are open to newly diagnosed woman with breast cancer, family and friends, and are conducted in the Ruth C. Donovan Resource Room Library, located on the first floor, Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance.

Class participants learn about “what happens next,” including pre- and postoperative care, information regarding chemotherapy and radiation therapy, lymphedema precautions and exercise, relaxation techniques, as well as information about local support services, and the opportunity to meet with a breast cancer survivor.
