Chase Collegiate School Now Accepting Summer Camp Registration

Chase Collegiate School, a co-ed day school for preschool through grade 12 in Waterbury, is accepting registration for its Summer at Chase programs.

The Artist Workshop offers campers workshops on different art mediums, including painting, collages, drawing, and sculpting. The Clay Forms workshop introduces students to the three methods of hand-building clay, as well as glazing techniques and using the pottery wheel.

The studio painting workshop begins with an introduction of color theory and includes the study of still-life, landscape, and portrait. In the Beginning Drawing workshop, students will develop spatial reasoning, learn techniques in perspective and composition design, and hone eye-to-pencil coordination.

The specialty camps are one- to two-week camps for a variety of ages, which run in June and July. Detailed descriptions and fees of all Summer at Chase programs and registration forms can be found at www.chasecollegiate.org/summer or by calling Tomas Kopecky, Summer at Chase director, at 203-236-9532. Clinics take place on the Chase Collegiate School campus at 565 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, located off I-84. Registration is now opened for all programs.
