Ronald Paul Tardiff, 72, of Newtown, passed away June 10, 2021, at Danbury Hospital with his beloved family at his side. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on August 30, 1948, a son of Paul and Bertha (Barr) Tardiff.

Ron was longtime driver for Casey Fuel of Ridgefield until his retirement. He then operated Tardiff and Sons Lawn Care part-time. Ron served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1971. An avid Yankee and Las Vegas Raider fan, he was a member of VFW Post 149 in Danbury. Ron will be remembered as loving, caring father to his beloved family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie E. (Brown) Tardiff, who passed away last month and a sister, Carolyn Roman. Survivors include two sons, Ronald P. Tardiff, Jr, and his wife, Marcia, and John E. Tardiff all of Bethel; a daughter, Nicole Tardiff of Newtown; and two grandchildren, Colin and Isabella Tardiff.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Thursday, June 17, from 6 to 8 pm. Interment with Military Honors will be Friday, June 18, at 10:30 am, at Newtown Village Cemetery, 20 Elm Drive.
