Through August 1, C.H. Booth Library is conducting a One Subject Art Contest.

To honor the beauty of the lovely old sugar maple tree the is the centerpiece of the library’s southern patio, students entering grades five through 12 are invited to visit the library and create artwork inspired by it.

Artists can paint a picture, take a photograph, write a poem… the medium is up to each person. Once completed, fill out an entry form and drop off the art at the Young Adult department of the library, 25 Main Street, or e-mail it to ya@chboothlibrary.org.

Artwork may be put on display in the YA department during the course of the contest.

Deadline for entries is Sunday, August 1.

Library staff and volunteers will judge the entries and vote on their favorites. Prizes will be awarded to best overall and age group winners.

Visit or contact the library for additional information.
