Thursday, June 25: 12:17 am, MVA with injury, Nunnawauk Road, Hook & Ladder responded.

Two Connecticut Department of Transportation employees can be seen near a brush fire in the median of I-84, just west of the Exit 10 on ramp, June 23, around 1 pm. Connecticut State Troopers and trucks from Newtown Hook & Ladder and Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, both carrying crews, responded to three small brush fires, including this one, Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters were initially dispatched to the area of the Exit 11 westbound on ramp, but were quickly alerted by dispatch of additional fires. A third fire, also along I-84 West, was located just prior to the Hanover Road overpass. All three were quickly extinguished. —Bee Photo, Hicks
