To the Editor:

I wanted to write and thank St Rose’s church and all of the volunteers for the wonderful carnival this past weekend.

Relatively affordable family fun is hard to come by these days and St Rose’s delivered. It felt like all of Newtown was there and the best of our community was on full display.

No mention of the noise in the world, just the sound of joyful kids and the sight of relaxed parents enjoying a weekend of good old-fashioned Americana.

We should never take for granted what a nice, family oriented town we live in.
