Friendly Visitor Seeks Volunteers

DANBURY — The Friendly Visitor Program sponsored by The Volunteer Center Serving Western Connecticut will be holding two Friendly Visitor training sessions for individuals interested in becoming a Friend to a homebound senior citizen.

The first session is 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday July 24, July 31, and August 7 in New Milford at the Senior Center. The second session is 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Tuesday August 6, August 13, and August 20 in Bethel at Walnut Hill Community Church.

No experience is necessary. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. There are many elderly people in the greater Danbury/New Milford area waiting to be matched.
