The cap-and-trade bill pushed through the House of Representatives last week will result in the largest tax increase in the history of the world. Americans will not be taxed directly, but every producer will pass taxes on in terms of higher prices. Electricity prices are expected to double; gasoline will be well above $5 per gallon. Every product we buy or use from orange juice to hair driers will cost more. One estimate is that the average family will pay $3,000 more per year in added expenses. It will destroy our domestic energy industry.
The bill provides for inspectors to review each home sale to ensure that the house being sold meets energy ratings in terms of new windows, weather-stripping, efficient furnaces, energy efficient appliances and so forth or no sale. New homes throughout America will have to meet the new California energy standards. This bill will intrude on every aspect of our lives. Even if successful, it would reduce global surface temperatures by only one-tenth of one percent Celsius in 100 years.
This idiocy continues despite more scientists believing that global warming is a hoax. Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma yesterday began an investigation into the EPA burying a report, in order to pass this bill, which states that carbon dioxide has little to no effect on climate. The report states that solar activity influences climate. Also, the earthâs temperature for the last decade has been cooling. The website petitionproject.org lists 31,000 scientists (9,000 PhDs), who state that carbon dioxide is beneficial and not dangerous.
Democrats state this bill creates jobs. Spain has installed cap-and-trade and has lost 2.2 jobs for every âgreenâ job. They have 18 percent unemployment. Call our Senators at 202-224-3121 to stop this horror. Murphy has already voted for it. Dump him!
Call about the health care bill. Harry Reid stated that he will not allow senators time to study, let alone read, the bill. Obamaâs new policy is that bills will not be placed an a website anymore for the public to read.
In New Zealand, there is a three-year wait for cataract surgery, a five-year wait for knee or hip surgery, and seniors with cancer do not get chemotherapy. It is rationed for the young. Canada has an 18-week wait to see a doctor. A colonoscopy requires a two-year wait. Canada uses drugs for colon cancer that we used a decade ago; 31 percent of Canadians die from colon cancer compared to 16 percent in America. Women with breast cancer are refused newer drugs in England. Theyâre too costly. National health care has not worked anywhere! Donât let them destroy our wonderful medical technology!
Our politicians will not be subject to the junk they want to force down our throats. They have great federal employee insurance. Why not get our senators and congressman to accept the plan they want to give to us. Weâre losing our country....Call them!
