Upcoming Summer Book Discussions At The Danbury Library
Upcoming Summer Book Discussions At The Danbury Library
DANBURY â The Danbury Library will host two upcoming book discussions for adults. For each book, readers can select a daytime discussion from 10:30 to 11:30 am, or an evening discussion from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, on the same discussion day.
On Thursday, July 10, The Entitled by Frank Deford is the selected title. Sportswriter Deford covers all of the bases: a superstar baseball player suspected of a crime, the team manager who will face a moral crisis, along with a background of baseball.
On Thursday, July 24, Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks will be discussed. This novel was inspired by actual events, and chronicles how a small 17th Century English village copes when a plague hits. Noble and not so noble behavior results.
Both discussions are free of charge. Books may be reserved online at danburylibrary.org or by calling 797-4527.
