Same Great Book Sale

To the Editor:

Change of date; change of venue; same great book sale! We were concerned that changing the date of the 31st Annual Friends of the C.H. Booth Library “Labor Day” Book Sale to the Fourth of July would be inconvenient for our patrons. But when over 150 people were lined up before 7 am on Saturday, July 1, we had the answer — people love books and book sales — they will come. And they did, all five days of the sale. The Reed Intermediate School provided the perfect venue for our patrons and volunteers.

The book sale could not happen without community support. We especially want to thank: Donna Denniston and Bea Gellert, Reed Intermediate School; Dom Posca, Alice Jackson, and Karen Dugan, Newtown Public Schools; Boy Scout Troop #70; Chartwell Food Service; C.H.
