Robert Kealey Sr

Robert C. Kealey, Sr, 82, longtime resident of Bridgeport and Trumbull, the beloved husband of the late Marjorie E. Kealey, died suddenly on July 8. He was born on January 20, 1935, son of the late Veronica and Matthew Kealey.

Mr Kealey retired as a supervisor in the Die Room at Curtis Packaging in Newtown in 2000. He was known as a truly selfless man and enjoyed the simple things in life, such as relaxing at the beach with family and friends, playing his numbers, or catching the Yankees or Giants game on TV.

His loving son, Robert C. Kealey, Jr, and his wife Shirley of Shelton; his three grandchildren, Shauna Rogg and her husband Ronald of Monroe, and Robert Kealey III, and Sandra Kealey, both of Shelton; his two cherished great-grandchildren; his brothers, James Kealey of Stratford, William Kealey of St Petersburg, Fla., and George Kealey of California; his sister, Arlene Gawron of Trumbull; and many nieces and nephews survive him.

In addition to his wife, his daughter, Sandra Ann; brothers, Jack, Dennis, Joseph, and Thomas Kealey; as well as his sister, Elizabeth Bartovic, predeceased him.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 12, from 4 to 7 pm, at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 13, at 10 am, directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his wife's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
