Lyme Forum     On August 7

The Newtown Lyme Disease Task Force and the Newtown Health District will hold a seminar about Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases on Thursday, August 7, at 7:15 pm at The Homesteads at Newtown.

The Center For Disease Control (CDC) says Connecticut leads the nation in the incidence of Lyme disease. According to a recent survey, 39 percent of the households in an area that includes Wilton, Ridgefield, and Newtown have a member who has at some point been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

Admission to the seminar is free but reservations are suggested. Seats/directions can be obtained by calling the Homesteads at 426-8118.

The Homesteads is a senior living community located at 166 Mt Pleasant Road.
