Lorraine Keating Peterson

Beloved Wife And Mother

Lorraine Keating Peterson, 72, of Seymour, the beloved wife of Floyd “Pete” Peterson, died unexpectedly July 28 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born in Bridgeport on June 19, 1936, a beloved daughter of Thomas and Jeanette Noel Keating.

Mrs Peterson attended Newtown schools and the University of Connecticut. She was a snare drummer with the Sandy Hook Drum Corps, UConn Husky Marching Band, and the Connecticut Rebel Ancient Drum Corps.

She worked for The Newtown Bee for many years, and retired from the DuPont Corporation. She was noted for her kindness, for her fashion sense, and fabric arts.

In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her three daughters, Diane M. Clark Miller and husband, Neal, of Middlebury, Lisa L. Clark Adkins and husband, William, of Portland, Conn., and Corinne C. Clark of Midlothian, Va.; her beloved sister Jeannette Blankenship of Princeton, W.Va.; and her two cherished grandsons, Michael S. Klubek, law enforcement officer for the National Parks Service, and James T. Clark. She was the former wife of the late G. Wayne Clark.

 A private graveside service will be held at Northwest Cemetery, Woodbridge, at the convenience of the family, with the Rev John Stephen, Pastor of the Middlebury Baptist Church, officiating.

The Miller-Ward Funeral Home of Seymour will be caring for the family.
