Newtown Public Schools announced on August 1 that the residents of Newtown and Sandy Hook are being offered additional dates to visit the new Sandy Hook School.

The new tours are being offered to ensure that every resident has the opportunity to be in the building before the start of the 2016-17 school year, according to the brief announcement issued Monday afternoon.

The school will be open for visits between 6 and 8 pm on the following dates: Mondays, August 8, 15 and 22; and Wednesdays, August 10, 17 and 24.
