A Storybook Treasure

To the Editor:

This week my granddaughter and I walked through the woods to the enchanted “bunny garden” at The Pleasance on Main Street.

Mrs Rabbit welcomed us to her house where we opened the half-door and peeked at the quaint bunny furnishings. Other rabbit family members greeted us along the path. Even a large turtle plodded in from the woods to watch us as we stomped over a little bridge where we were surprised by a white picket fence and giant black-eye Susans surrounding Mr McGregor’s garden. There we spotted Peter Rabbit collecting carrots.

Thank you, Newtown Bee, for this storybook treasure, so removed from the current world of technology toys.
