There were no injuries. Police gave Russo a written warning for driving an unreasonable distance apart.

Dodgingtown Collision

About noon July 28, motorist Meaghan Dawley, 17, of 10 Jangling Plains Road, who was driving a 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible, entered the parking lot at Dodgingtown Market at 57 Dodgingtown Road (Route 302), police said.

Dawley’s vehicle was then struck and damaged by the driver of a gray pickup truck, who then drove away from the scene, police said. Dawley was not injured, police said.

The truck, which has a utility body, had Connecticut marker plates and bore decal of a pine tree on its left door, police said.

Police are investigating the collision and ask anyone with information about who was driving that truck to contact Officer Steve Ketchum at 426-5841.
