FAIRFIELD — Shakespeare Ventures, a new theatre company in Fairfield, will kick off its second summer season with Twelfth Night, Shakespeare’s delightful comedy of disguises, mistaken identity, mischief and mix-ups.

The play’s setting is light, airy and tropical. Paul Doniger, a Newtown resident and a founding member of Classic Stage Repertory Theatre in Manhattan, has been cast as Sir Toby Belch. The cast also includes Bradley Staubes, recently seen in The Legend of Pearl Hart in Times Square.

Twelfth Night will be presented at the PepsiCo Theatre on the campus of Fairfield University. It runs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 2, August 4 through August 19. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors.

The theater is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.

Twelfth Night is being directed by Lynne Porter, currently the director of the Fairfield University theater program and an actor whose professional credits include Harrisburg Shakespeare, The Arden Theatre, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, Maine Shakespeare and Oregon Shakespeare.
