Pomperaug Woods Concert Series Returning

SOUTHBURY — Pomperaug Woods will begin its outdoor summer concert series on Tuesday, August 23, with Pierce Campbell and The Funky Butt Jazz Band, who will play New Orleans style Dixieland jazz music.

The following Tuesday, August 30, Music from the Heart will perform popular American standards from 1920s to the 70s.

The series will conclude with Heritage Village favorites Willie Nininger and John Kuhner on Tuesday, September 6.

All concerts are open to the public and will take place at 7 pm on the lawn by the Pomperaug Woods Gazebo, at 80 Heritage Road. Complimentary refreshments will be served at all concerts. Anyone wishing to attend should bring a lawn chair or blanket.

In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held indoors in Wilson Hall, and seating is limited.
