WIN Helps ETH Theatre Seats Project
Women Involved in Newtown (WIN) has purchased a seat to help the Edmond Town Hall Theatre Seats project sponsored by the Newtown Lions Club.
Long a force in Newtown, WIN is known for sponsoring Easter and Thanksgiving baskets, working with the Lions Club on blood drives, hosting Halloween activities, driving for Meals on Wheels, aiding the FAITH food pantry, sponsoring the C.H. Booth Libraryâs âFor the Love of Readingâ program, and other projects.
The Lions Club has collected $98,000 toward the $150,000 needed to replace the seats on the lower level of the theatre as a tercentennial year project. Each seat is $300. Donors can buy a seat and have a memorial plaque installed on the back, or make contributions of any amount. A special plaque on the wall will commemorate those who give at the bronze level, which means buying seven seats; the silver level, a row of 14 seats; or the gold level, a contribution of $5,000.
