Liam Thies, a student at Fairfield College Preparatory School, has been selected to attend the 2011 Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., sponsored by Honor Code! United States Service Academy Preparatory and Leadership Camps.

Honor Code! is a program designed to introduce talented and promising young adults with an interest in attending a United States Service Academy to the academy campus and its admission procedures.

Students enrolled tour the service academy of their choice. Students can choose from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.; the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis; or the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

Students will tour the service academy campus, facilities, conduct introductory physical fitness assessments, study leadership skills, and will be introduced to the extensive processes for preparing, applying for and gaining an appointment to a United States Service Academy. In addition, students may participate in a high ropes, leadership reaction, or orienteering courses.

As part of the camp, students will also tour the special attractions located around the individual academy locations. For instance, students attending the US Naval Academy camp will visit Washington, D.C., monuments.
