The Connecticut Department of Transportation is conducting a night-time milling and resurfacing project on Route 302 in Newtown and Bethel. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 7.96 mile segment of Route 302. This project, which commenced August 3, is scheduled to continue from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am until Wednesday, September 3.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 302 between Route 53 in Bethel and Route 25 in Newtown. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

Travelers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are also advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
