Blanchard For State Senate District 28
To The Editor:
Several years ago, my family and I made the decision to move from Fairfield to Sandy Hook, and we could not be happier to call this town our home. Having lived in and observed local public service across both communities, I know firsthand that a candidate’s actual track record matters far more than campaign promises.
That is why I am supporting Rob Blanchard. Unlike a first-time candidate learning on the job, Rob has already been in the room where tough decisions are made. Through his work alongside Governor Ned Lamont and Comptroller Sean Scanlon, he has gained a deep, practical understanding of how state government operates, how policies are funded, and how to get real results for municipalities.
Equally important is his hands-on local experience. Serving as Fairfield’s RTM Deputy Majority Leader, Rob wrestled directly with town-level budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and local governance. Bridging high-level state policy with grounded town management is a rare and credible combination that few candidates bring to the table.
As a relative newcomer who chose Sandy Hook for its strong sense of community and bright future, I want a leader who can hit the ground running on day one. Rob Blanchard has already proven he has the experience, fiscal understanding, and collaborative mindset needed to serve us effectively. He has my vote, and I encourage my neighbors across Newtown and Sandy Hook to join me in supporting him.
