Occupation: [Magic Machine] video store owner, and I have a salvage business

on the side. I'm an ex-tool maker. I made tools for 22 years. But I like to

talk to people. I opened the video store November of 1985 because I had enough

of being in the shop.

Biggest change in Newtown: All these shopping centers popping up everywhere. I

like small town businesses. I go to Maine a lot and I've seen a lot of changes

in the past 15 years. Small towns change to outlet towns. I'd hate to see that

happen here, but it is.

Family: I'm married. My wife is Pamela. I have a daughter, Shelley, who is 20

years-old and works for F&M Electric Supply Company.

Pets: We have three lhasa apsos - Mikey the mischief maker, Daisy Mae the

sweet one, Maximillian who is the guard dog and the smallest one. Everyone

loves Daisy Mae. I love animals. We also have three cats - a Russian blue,

Gregory, who is 18 years old, a black angora, Mimi, and the smallest one is

one-year-old Jetta a tortoise shell. And we have four aquariums with mainly

African chiclids. They are the most colorful fresh water fish around.

Hobbies: It's out there. Riding motorcycles. I go to Maine a lot. That's all I

have time for.

Favorite place in Maine: Do you want to know my favorite bar or town? A little

dive - The Draft House in York Beach, Maine. It's the only time I really

drink.

Organizations: Newtown Chamber of Commerce. I belong to Harley Owners Group,

known as HOG.

Favorite movie: The all time funniest movie is In-Laws . I love Beetle Juice ;

Beetle Juice is great. Executive Decision is really good - a great action

movie. And the best "feel good" movie is American President .

Favorite food: Sushi. Now I'm making it myself using sticky rice - you use a

little sugar and a little vinegar. Then you have to go find fresh fish. I use

Wasabi - Japanese mustard - and soy sauce.

Personal philosophy: I live by doing my own thing. I just couldn't take a

structured employment. The only one I have to answer to is - my wife, myself.

And I don't bother anybody unless they bother me.
