with cut: Report Due On Library Progress

The Board of Selectmen will receive another full report on the construction

progress of the $4.1 million addition to the Cyrenius Booth Library January

27.

Architect Bruce Tuthill of Tuthill Architects in Avon and Public Building

Committee chairman Frank Krasnickas are expected to make presentations at the

meeting.

"Hopefully it will be better than the last report we received (in December),"

First Selectman Bob Cascella said at Wednesday's Legislative Council meeting.

Last month, Mr Krasnickas reported a lack of progress with the job, as well as

insufficient planning and manpower and overall safety concerns.

Nevertheless, Friends of the Library Trustees has promised that the project

will be done within its 14-month window and at or below budget.
