Farm Field Ridge Plan Withdrawn
A Prospect man has withdrawn his application to resubdivide one lot into two
lots on Farm Field Ridge Road in Sandy Hook.
Douglas Samaha, of Samaha, LLC, on February 6 withdrew his request to
resubdivide Lot 6 in the Black Bridge Farms subdivision into two lots. The
3.2-acre building lot would have been cut into one 2-acre and one 1.2-acre
lot.
Mr Samaha told Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) members he wants to build
two 2,400-square-foot Colonial style houses, which he said would be in harmony
with the neighborhood.
P&Z member Thomas Paisley observed, "It certainly seems to be a very wet
area."
Mr Samaha explained the houses would be situated on high spots on the land.
Commission members learned there are some mapping problems with the
application presented by Mr Samaha, who then withdrew his application.
Farm Field Ridge Road area residents interested in the application attended
the February 6 hearing to learn more about the proposal.
Mr Samaha is expected to submit a new application for a resubivision. P&Z will
advertise a public hearing on the proposal. Abutting property owners will be
notified by mail.
