Marion Keefe

Marion F. Keefe, 88, mother of Harriet Szarka of Sandy Hook, died September 8,

at the home of her daughter, after a long illness. The wife of the late

Francis Keefe, she had been a resident of Mohawk Avenue, Derby.

Born in Austria, April 5, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and

Frances Oresky. She had lived most of her life in Derby.

She was employed at Wire Novelty Company for many years until her retirement

in 1973.

Mrs Keefe was a devoted member of St Mary's Church, Derby.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Edward Keefe of

Fairfax, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Her first

husband, Edward Keefe, died in 1935. Mrs Keefe was also predeceased by a

daughter, Rosalie Banahan who died in April of this year.

The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home in Derby, is in charge of arrangements.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held September 12, in St Mary's Church, Derby.

Burial was in Mt St Peter's Cemetery.

William White

William R. "Bill" White, 23, a musician and former Newtown resident, died

September 7 in Midway, Ga., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile

accident.

Mr White was born in Tai Pei, Taiwan, a son of Richard and Susan White of St

Petersburg, Fla. A resident of Clearwater, Fla., he had moved to Florida from

Newtown in 1988.

In Florida, he was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist at East Lake High

School. He received his bachelor's degree in advertising from the University

of Florida, Gainesville.

Mr White was the bass guitarist and composer for the rock/alternative music

group For Squirrels. He was a member of AFM Local 65, Miami Federation of

Musicians.

He was a member of the Clearwater Community Church in Clearwater and the

Creekside Community Church in Gainesville.

Besides his parents, Mr White is survived by his paternal grandparents, James

H. and Phyllis P. White of Destin, Fla.; his maternal grandparents, Gerald and

Elna Larson of Ashland, Wis.; a brother, Jonathan M. White of Gainesville; two

uncles; an aunt; and six cousins.

Contributions in his memory may be made to Creekside College Ministry,

Creekside Community Church, 2640 N.W. 39 Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32605.

Services were held September 13, at the Clearwater Community Church,

Clearwater, Fla.

Bruno Don

Services for former Newtown resident Bruno Don will be held Saturday,

September 16, at 10 am in St Michael's Garden Mausoleum, 2205 Stratford

Avenue, Stratford.

Mr Don died in Florida on August 29.

Beatrice Epstein

Beatrice Moses Epstein of Newtown, died September 6.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 15, at 11 am in Ohavel

Sedeck Cemetery.
