The End Of Summer
While we say Labor Day is the official end of summer, kids know that the first
day of school is the definitive indicator. When those buses roll, summer is
history.
School starts a little early this year. On Wednesday, August 30 the Class of
'96 embarks on its long-anticipated, victory-lap senior year, and the Class of
2008 heads off to kindergarten. Meanwhile their parents of these kids and all
those inbetween watch $27 million in taxes follow their children to school.
They are more eager to see this particular investment mature gracefully than
any other investment they make.
We wish the Class of '96 good luck in its final year, the Class of 2008
happiness and wonder in its first year, and all students a safe and productive
year. We also wish there were a couple more weeks of summer's leisurely pace,
but, alas, it's time to move on. It's time to get to work.
