LORI ZEMO

Occupation: I've been receptionist at The Newtown Bee almost ten years.

Pets: Four cats - Mugsi, Smoki, Porki, and Alice.

How long in Newtown: About 17 years. That's the longest I've ever lived

anywhere.

Biggest change in town: It would have to be population. It seems like there

are more houses, and more people coming into town. When I first moved here, we

lived in Shady Rest and there was an open field on Walnut Tree Hill Road. Now

there are all residential homes there.

Favorite place outdoors in town: I guess it would have to be The Ram Pasture.

Hobbies: Photography is my number one thing. Sports, but I don't really play

any right now. Motorcycling - I just got my motorcycle license so I hope to

get involved in that soon. That will be a big hobby; it was a big thing for me

to get my motorcycle license.

Do you like movies: I love the movies, especially Disney films. My favorite

director, though, is Steven Spielberg. What was a good movie you saw recently:

The Rock . I like Sean Connery and the cinematography was great - and of

course I love that.

Favorite photographer: I don't really have a favorite. I admire some

photographers who take children's images because I love photographing

children.

Organizations: Flagpole Photographers.

Most memorable time in your life so far: Traveling around the USA with my

older sister, Lisa. It was memorable because I got to see a lot of the country

and I enjoyed spending the length of time with my sister.

Favorite food: Italian, of course. I love pasta. My favorite kind of pasta is

fettuccini Alfredo.

Favorite Italian word: Probably what my grandmother calls me: Bella. It means,

"beautiful."

Personal philosophy: Smile and be happy. I'm always smiling. If someone's

down, I like to cheer them up.
