CALENDAR CUTLINE FOR NOVEMBER 10

THE SOUND OF DEDICATION: The Greater Bridgeport Youth Symphony Orchestra will

present its first concert of the 1995-96 season this weekend, on Sunday,

November 12, at 3 pm, at Fairfield High School. Dedicated students of music

auditioned earlier this fall for coveted spots in the orchestra, and the

fruits of their labor will be heard by everyone who attends the concert. Seen

during a recent practice, above, is Chris Fong on cello, under the direction

of concert orchestra conductor Robert Genualdi. In addition to Chris Fong,

additional Newtown and Sandy Hook musicians in the GBYSO this year are Drew

Carleton, Curtis Hussarungsri, Kari Levinson, Erik Secola, Emily Warner,

Karina Wolfe and Tara Wolfe.
