The Friends of the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard (2GHG) invites local craftsmen, artisans, and area businesses to share their talents, products, goods, and services at the annual Fall Festival, to be held rain or shine on the grounds of the 2GHG property, 4 Wildlife Drive on the Fairfield Hills campus, Saturday, September 12, from 11 am to 3 pm.

Annually attracting over 600 visitors throughout the day, the festival offers a wide variety of fun family-focused activities including interactive hands-on educational displays, horse shows, calvary/military educational displays, pony rides, face painting, food vendors, live music, artisans/craftsmen, and more.

2GHG is a non-profit, all-volunteer troop. Chartered in 1808, 2GHG is one of the oldest surviving military cavalry troops in the United States. Its mission is to serve the governor and the residents of Connecticut by bringing history-rich educational programs to all ages, preserving Connecticut’s strong and revolutionary history, through participation in ceremonial functions, including parades, special appearances, and presidential and gubernatorial inaugurations.

Participation donation fee is $125 and requires advanced reservation. All registered vendors will receive a designated ten foot by ten foot space and lawn sign.

For information and vendor application, e-mail 2GHGevents@gmail.com.
