Rob Blanchard: The State Senate Candidate Who Will Represent All Of Us
To The Editor:
I write enthusiastically in support of Rob Blanchard for the state Senate’s 28th district. Rob has extensive local and state government experience. He has already been involved in tough state decisions working alongside Governor Ned Lamont and comptroller Sean Scanlon. This is not a learning curve for him; he already knows how state government operates, and the imperative financial needs of local municipalities.
Rob also has extensive hands-on local government experience. Serving as Fairfield RTM deputy majority leader, Rob addressed strict fiscal scrutiny of taxpayer money that included budgets, bonding and bond ratings. The combination of extensive state and local experience is a rare benefit for Newtown taxpayers.
Rob feels so strongly about Newtown that he has moved here from Fairfield. As our Senator, Rob will be advocating for what will make our lives better and help Newtown thrive. With a Democrat at the table, we will finally be able to get our priorities addressed. He will be fighting for smart economic development, affordable housing (not dictated by developers), open space, affordability, food subsidies, full-time preschool, day care support, women’s rights, ICE accountability, gun control, free and fair elections (the absence of federal interference), and fair taxes.
We need Rob Blanchard in Hartford to advocate for all of us! Please join me in voting for Rob Blanchard for state Senate for our 28th district on November 3.
