C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, will host a job fair in collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Labor, Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board, and Career Resources on Wednesday, September 2, 11 am-2 pm. Attendees are encouraged to dress for success and bring copies of their resumes.

Several employers will be in attendance, including Diligent Enterprise DBA ComForCare Homecare Services; Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health; Norbert E. Mitchell Co, Inc; and the US Postal Service. These employers are looking to fill a variety of positions, such as an in home caregiver, 1:1 special ed paraprofessional, apprentice mechanics, and rural carriers.

The job fair will be in the meeting room on the first floor of the library.

On the same day, American Job Center, in collaboration with C.H. Booth Library, will bring the Career Coach back to Edmond Town Hall’s lower parking lot, 45 Main Street. This month, the staff will present an introduction to Microsoft Word. There are two sessions available, one at 10 am and another at 1 pm.

Attendees will learn and practice basic skills to create and format Word documents easily. This is a great class for beginners or those looking for a refresher on Word.

The Career Coach services job seekers on the spot. It is a one-stop shop on wheels and a mobile classroom which brings career services and computer training to the public. It makes weekly visits to cities and towns in coordination with community organizations. There are only ten slots available, so register soon to secure a spot.
