Children expressed their creativity during Newtown Community Center’s second Crafternoon workshop on Friday, August 23.

In the building’s Art Studio, there were a variety of options provided for participants of all ages to try, including decorating paper robots, coloring reusable bags, and drawing on the chalk easel.

The weekly program is available to members of the Newtown Community Center for no additional charge and runs every Friday from 1 to 3 pm. The public is invited to attend tomorrow's session, free of charge, as part of the community center's Welcome Week programming.

Starting September 7, the program will be from noon to 2 pm each Friday in the fall.
