Garden Landscape

On September 13, the Town and Country Garden Club of Newtown will host a program by Suzanne Knutson from Lavish Landscapes and Garden Design. The program will be at the senior center, on Riverside Road in Sandy Hook, and will begin at 7:30 pm.

Ms Knutson will be speaking on how to transform a home garden by using techniques from landscape design.

Ms Knutson has had an interesting career, working for ten years as an investment banker on Wall Street before she left that world to become a full-time mother. She then used her free time to pursue her interest in gardening and created a series of garden rooms to grace the grounds of her property.

After her friends discovered her work, they encouraged her to found her own business. That business, Lavish Landscapes and Garden Design, now provides residential landscape design service for the Fairfield Country region.

Many of the gardens her firm designed have been featured in Better Homes & Gardens as well as Westport-based magazines. Ms Knutson’s garden has been open to the public through The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program and Westport Historical Society’s garden tour.
