Swim Group Promotes Free Prostate Screenings

BRIDGEPORT — St Vincent’s Medical Center Health Services in affiliation with the Prostate Cancer Institute will conduct free prostate screenings in September and October, sponsored by Swim Across the Sound.

The prostate exams will take place on Tuesday, September 13,  at St Vincent’s Family Health Center and on Wednesday, October 19, at the Bridgeport Health Department.

The exams at each location will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The screenings are available to all men over 50 and those over 40 who are either African Americans or at risk due to family history. These free exams do not include men currently seeing a urologist or those who have been screened within the last year.
