Letter Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

Once again, I have the good fortune of writing to support Representative Christopher Lyddy in his bid for a second term of office in Connecticut’s General Assembly. Chris has done an outstanding job as a freshman legislator, rolling up his sleeves and immersing himself in the job right away.

As predicted, Chris’s fortitude, strength, and integrity have served him well in his first term. The many accolades we’ve read about come as no surprise to us here. Chris is the real deal! He’s an honest, hardworking guy with a no-nonsense, straightforward attitude toward his job. He’s a keen listener tuned to the needs of his constituents.

In his short tenure, Chris has worked tirelessly to preserve funding for our schools and to improve education for all within our state, focusing on the achievement gap which exists between our cities and towns. He’s been called the “Children’s Champion” by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance and has been voted the Legislator of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers two years in a row. Most recently, Chris received the “Tip of the Cap” award from the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now.

Chris is a change-maker with a clear sense of purpose and the knowledge and skill to carry it out. I hope you’ll join me as I cast my vote once more for Chris Lyddy this November 2. And please don’t hesitate to join the entire Lyddy family as they march down Main Street this weekend.

Thank you, Chris, for all you’ve done to make your hometown proud!

Sincerely,

Gael S. Lynch
