Robert Lawrence 'Bob' Kayfus Jr

Robert Lawrence “Bob” Kayfus, Jr, 79, of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away on July 26, 2026 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Big Spring, Texas.

Bob was born on July 14, 1947 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the oldest son of the late Robert Lawrence Kayfus, Sr and Helen Amelia (Hiza) Kayfus of Sandy Hook.

A 1965 graduate of Woodbury High School, Bob was an Air Force Veteran and served as an ammunition technician in the Vietnam War.

Bob worked over three decades as a Project Manager for US Home Corporation and as a Vice President for Lennar Homes in Houston, Texas.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Sue Brown Kayfus; his parents; sisters Elaine Kayfus Stewart and Nancy Kayfus Cohen; and a brother, Thomas J. Kayfus.

He is survived by two brothers, Gary (Paige) Kayfus of Coral Springs, Florida, and Tim (Beth) Kayfus of Louisville, Tennessee; and a sister, Kathleen Kayfus Paccadolmi of Raphine, Virginia.

Bob is also survived by his daughter Andrea Foster (Jerry Don) and son Christopher Kayfus, both of Buffalo Gap, Texas; grandchildren Tanner (Nicole) Foster, Dillon (Brittany) Foster, and Jenna (Austin) Perkins; and great-grandchildren Liam, Luna, Lillie, and Cleo Foster, and Maverick Perkins.

Graveside services with full military honors were held at Buffalo Gap Cemetery on August 6, 2026.
